South Park returns, looks ready to make Leftist heads explode mocking the race and gender-swapping "Panderverse"
Matt Stone and Trey Parker always seem to know when the world needs them the most, and the world needs to laugh now more than ever. The world also needs peace in the Middle East, which Matt and Trey laid out the blueprint for ten years ago.
Sadly, no one had the foresight to listen. And now we're down a key component for the Kenny Accords...
South Park is returning with a new epic special, "South Park: Joining The Panderverse." We have to wait for the end of the month, but this thirty-second taste gives us a hint. The townsfolk are worried about AI. And the cast of white boys, in the name of tolerance and equity, have been replaced with women of color.
Kenny is Asian. Kyle is hot. Butters looks like a trans lesbian. Cartman is of course a fat black woman, because what else would he be? The only person true to the source material is the wokest of the four boys, Kyle.
Kyle: How does this make any sense?
PC Principal: It makes perfect sense. Maybe the problem this time is you.
It's only a thirty-second clip, and already the right people are angry by it. From the journalismers at the AV Club:
The Spider-Man-referencing title suggests that the show will be offering its take on increasing calls for diversity in mainstream media (or at least allegations that said calls are cynically exploited by studios to make money), and, hey, do you get these pounding headaches in the front of your skull while watching this stuff? We get these pounding headaches, in the front of our skull.
"Joining The Panderverse" is a reference to the two animated Spiderverse movies where there was a white Spider-Man in one universe, a half-black/half-Latino Spider-Man in another universe, and a Spider-Girl who may or may not have been trans in another. There was also a Spider-Pig, a Mecha-Spider, and thousands more. But those were the key three.
And to be honest? Both movies were solid. Probably two of the best superhero movies that have come out in a while. For me, it's less about the "wokeness' as much as it is the lazy writing. Good movies stand on their own. Lazy movies need bloggers and the media to beat you over the head with the faux diversity and inclusion to mask the fact their movie sucks.
Also, it gets confusing who is allowed to play what. Anyone is allowed to replace characters who are white and male. But others?

I'm sure South Park will make it all make sense to us on October 27.
