If you are a fan of left-wing content, it su-diddly-ucks to be you today. Elon Musk executed Plan B against Twitter. CNN+ is getting yeeted out of existence. And now, Spotify is wishing Barack and Michelle Obama well in their future endeavors and NOT renewing their podcast contract.

Yes, Spotify is choosing AGAINST the Obamas. Bloomberg News is reporting that while the Obama production company Higher Ground has spoken to multiple networks including Spotify, the streaming giant declined to make the Obama's an offer.

It's a curious decision. When liberals were desperate to get Joe Rogan canceled from Spotify, one of the tools mentioned was the Obama contract coming. There were even rumors the Obamas were looking for a new deal because of Rogan. Odd, because I couldn't tell you a single notable thing either Obama released on Spotify. There was that one podcast Obama did with the only man in America more insufferable than him, Bruce Springsteen, but that's it. As opposed to Joe Rogan, who has inarguably the most popular podcast in America. So it was an odd flex. Unless the plan was to call Spotify racist for choosing the notoriously mayonnaise-looking Joe Rogan.

There is a chance Spotify knew what other companies were offering and decided it wasn't worth making an offer. One would be inclined to think they'd make an offer anyway for the sake of saying they did, just because the guy is a former president of the United States of America. Spotify decided the deal wasn't worth the bandwidth.

The liberal reaction to this news will be interesting. On one hand, they hate Joe Rogan and love accusing people of racism. On the other hand, Obama is a moderate Republican compared to what passes for a Democrat these days. The left has their hands full with Elon Musk and losing the ability to censor opposing viewpoints. They might give Spotify a pass this time.
