We've been hearing a lot about Aleppo in recent months. Not to be confused with the Gary Johnson mental speed bump - Alzheimer's. Or he was stoned out of his gourd. Probably the latter. Anyway, news of the Syrian conflict has spread far and wide, reaching the furthest corners of the world of social media. Even though the Syrian Civil War has gone on since 2011, but whatever. A new president, a "newish" world conflict to push. Ahem. Photos of war torn neighborhoods and kids covered in soot have been posted on many an "internet famous" YouTube vlogger's Instagram. Complete with hashtags and everything. #Caring

But as it turns out, some of those photos circling the toilet bowl that is the world wide web? Yeah, they're fake...

Five people in Port Said allegedly making fake videos purporting to show the wreckage of air strikes in the Syrian city of Aleppo have been arrested...

The videographer, his assistants and the parents of two children who appear in the footage were detained after police managed to trail the would-be camera crew to a building site awaiting demolition.

The team admitted they had planned to distribute their work on social media, pretending it showed scenes of the injured and destruction in Aleppo.

In this case, it doesn't really matter where you stand on the issue of Syria. The problem here is where the little girl is standing... On top of a quickly staged mound of fake rubble. For the purpose of what? That's what should concern you. More on that below.

Remember the whole "fake news" ordeal the left is harping on about (see LOL: Brian Williams Criticizes 'Fake News.' Yes, Really... and Obama Lectures Americans About 'Fake News.' Why He's a Hypocritical Dumbass...)? This goes hand in fake-bloodied hand. While leftists were losing their crap over "the media not covering Syria enough," they didn't pipe up about how said Syria coverage could be bull turdage. So much for hating fake news.

Look, nobody's saying people are living it up in the ash of Aleppo right now. They're not celebrating a civil war. I'm sure it's a steaming pile of suck, especially for innocent kids. As is the case with most places in the Middle Eastern region of Islamastan. Okay? Okay. But one thing is apparent: the Free Syrian Army don't seem to like us - or anyone - very much (see OBAMA FOREIGN POLICY: US Commandos Flee From 'Ally' Free Syrian Army...). An interesting tidbit of information one might want to consider. Especially while mulling over the idea of propagandists using children to peddle their agenda to the western world.
