#StandWithNancy: Democrats Looking to Oust... Nancy Pelosi?!
Something terrible has happened: Democrats are realizing Nancy Pelosi is terrible. We here at LwC love the Democrat Leader (see BUSTED: Nancy Pelosi Caught Telling Politician to Pander and Nancy Pelosi Believes Government Invented the iPhone). She's comedically stupid and/or manipulative, and like you, we love to hate her. #StandWithNancy? You're damn right we do!
“I think I’m worth the trouble,” she told reporters, parrying renewed questions from Democrats about her stewardship after yet another Republican congressional candidate, this time in Georgia, found success by making Ms. Pelosi and her adopted hometown, San Francisco, the centerpiece of a campaign. With six words, Ms. Pelosi, 77, demonstrated the self-assurance that has powered her as one of the most successful congressional leaders in the modern era. Yet even as Democrats enjoy a surge of grass-roots energy that could resurrect their House majority, some members of Ms. Pelosi’s own party are impatient for her to give up her 15-year grip on power.
STAND STRONG NANCY!
She is the Democrat most crucial to determining whether her party can take back the House and torpedo President Trump’s agenda — an avatar of the kind of coastal excess that Republicans abhor and that some progressives have come to view suspiciously in an age of ascendant populism.
Of course, #StandWithNancy is as contrived and scripted as anything else having to do with Nancy Pelosi...
Pelosi aides are sending allies suggested supportive tweets on social media. Some examples. https://t.co/oHrPmBlAZ7— Maggie Haberman (@Maggie Haberman) 1498162268.0
It's like these people don't understand how an internet works.
But I hope the #StandWithNancy campaign is a fruitful one. I'm constantly offering up prayers for Nancy's physical health. Her mental health is a battle already lost. Can't cry over spilt breastmilk.
Also, blaming sweet stretchy-faced Nancy is rather unfair. Sure, sure, I'm not a Democrat operative, but methinks the recent Democrat losses and failings have more to do with a crappy platform no one wants to get aboard, and less to do with Nancy being our galaxy's best dressed idiot. Blaming Nancy for Democrat losses is like blaming Amy Schumer for a resurgence in virginity. You may think one has to do with the other, but not so much. They're but factors in a much more complex system. Sadly for Nancy, that complex system does not pertain to the neurotransmitters in her noggin.
Which makes her the perfect leader for the Democrats, no?
