This is what our politics has become. I'm not naïve; I understand there has never been a point in time where politics was actually dignified, but it was never like this. It's become something entirely ridiculous. A circus of sorts, if you will. Or perhaps a freak show. You decide. Here's Rhode Island State Senator Tiara Mack twerking for votes... When criticized for her ridiculous display, she tossed her resume out and said she was oppressed... It's just as awkward as it sounds.

"I have an Ivy League degree and am a state senator. Hate to break it to you. Their decorum isn't for us. They can't respect us in a system designed to oppress us."

Libs of TikTok makes the point in her tweet, but it's worth pointing out here, as well: She has a degree from an Ivy League school and sits in her state legislature... How on earth can she be oppressed?! Now, this probably says something about Ivy League schools, i.e. they are complete trash and should crumble to the ground under the weight of their own useless wokeness, but that's a conversation for another time.

Mack isn't the first person running for office to act like an OnlyFans hooker. Brittany DeBarros did an entire burlesque performance while running for office in New York. And what else can we expect from a party literally begging AOC to run for president...?

American politics is little more than social media influencers attempting to get likes, at this point, and it only looks to be getting worse.
