Lefties like to portray themselves as champions of the working class. Their speeches on the matter sound like they're ripped straight from a douchey Bruce Springsteen ditty. Except, the left's actions tell a completely different story. Just have a look at Stephen Colbert's cartoon about farmers affected by Trump's tariffs.

If it wasn’t already clear that Stephen Colbert has contempt for Trump voters, the Late Show host made it obvious on Thursday night. A cartoon that opened the show mocked Trump-voting farmers as dumb, drunk hicks who deserve to suffer. The host turned the Mother Goose nursery rhyme “Farmer in the Dell” into an R-rated cartoon accusing the President of hurting farmers with his new tariffs during his trade war with China.

Yep, nothing says "party of the people" like depicting them as drunken trash.

Look, I'm not too crazy about tariffs, so I'm not about to defend them now. Though, methinks the left is in no position to be taking sides against government intervention in trade. If anything, it's the free market purists who get to say "told you so," not elitist snobs who want to regulate cheeseburgers.

The left claims to be defenders of the working class. Yet, they're the first to depict them as braindead hicks with tiny dangles. These lefties know not what they say, or possibly they're outright lying. Either way, their disdain for blue collar folks is beyond clear.

The left is chock full of smug, elitist douche-a-sauruses. They think they're above the rest of us in every single way. Their "tolerance" and "compassion" extends from the belief you lack the gray matter to take care of yourself. So, the next time some lefty tries their "working class hero" schtick, you need only to cite this cartoon to call bullhickey.
