Ah, college. It's where you learn the value of critical thinking binge drinking while wishing you could've packed mom to do your laundry. But how the mighty have fallen. Exhibit Q: a student at Bethel University was singled out by his school for wearing a Blackhawks sweatshirt...

A Bethel University student recently issued an apology for wearing a Chicago Blackhawks sweatshirt to class after he was told the clothing was “offensive and hurtful.”

The controversy unfolded at the small, Minnesota-based Christian college in a class called “Social Perspectives, Human Worth and Social Action,” which delves into themes of culture, power and oppression in America, according to its online description.

Student Cody Albrecht, who is from Chicago, came to the class wearing his home team’s apparel in mid-April, then offered to turn it inside out “after becoming aware of the unease in his classroom because of his sweatshirt,” the Clarion student news outlet reports.

A week after he wore the sports apparel — and after an alleged meeting with the head of the Social Work department to discuss the situation — Albrecht issued a formal apology to the class. Professor Jacobs suggests it was a teachable moment.

As we've seen in the past, public humiliation is a stellar way to silence young people (read Student Records Professor's Crazy Anti-Trump Rant. School Decides to... Suspend the Student?!). Especially when shamed by diapered authority figures who throw tantrums. Speaking of which, here's the tantrum from the professor who was offended...

Perhaps this guy should air his grievances with the team who picked the mascot, not the innocent kid who decided to wear his hometown jersey. Also, notice the lack of protests led by white people outraged by viking mascots. Time to pull up your Huggies and march on, Professor Jacobs.

Free speech is being suppressed on campuses all over America and students are being bullied into not thinking, but simply following. Such ideology from the left is not only close minded, it's hypocritical. And it's starting to go mainstream. Weeping for the future is appropriate.
