Many people on the left say that America was built on slavery. In reality, it is actually the opposite. America was built on freedom, not slavery.

America was founded on a set of principles and values in pursuit of the ideal of freedom. Unfortunately, there were people who denied this. Mostly Democrats, but that is beside the point right now.

The fact that there were times in history when our founding principles were not honored in practice did not make it any less valid.

The New York Times’s 1619 Project sought to reset America’s founding date of the country to the day when the first African slaves arrived in the colonies. “No aspect of the country that would be formed here has been untouched by the years of slavery that followed,” the Times stated.

This claim has noticeably infested our education system.

The X account “End Wokeness" posted a video on Friday of a high school debate where we not only witness a pure hatred against white Christians but also a troubling lack of knowledge in regard to history.

"We demand that white Christians be held accountable for America's original sin. The negative continues a trend in politics while witness decors the other. Debating this topic is irrelevant while society is dominated by white Christians. Even if we have something educational to say about this topic, the political will just pray it away and continue their mission to conquer the world in the name of Jesus Christ,” one of the high school debaters declared.

It is quite clear that identity politics has replaced civic education as they truly believe America should regard slavery and racism as its fundamental characteristics.

The fact that this student is in high school and knows absolutely nothing about world history is baffling. And on top of that, he uses arguments of blasphemy to try and justify his deeply held propaganda.

“The United States was built to be a city upon a hill for white Christians. American Christianity has controlled all aspects of politics, such as justifying slavery. We solve it by decoupling weapons and worship and ending the crusade. White Christians literally inscribe scriptures onto their weapons, worshiping through war. We want to repent for our sins and show America's failure,” the student added.

The proposition of America is that all men are created equal. In fact, it was white Christians who abolished slavery in the West. The Constitution never created a right to slavery. It created a path to abolish slavery.
