The Media Is The Enemy of the People (#217 in a Series). If a group is calling bomb threats into a major retailer like Target for political reasons, the political reason is the story. Unless you are Washington Post and the group ISN'T one that supports conservatism. Or even Donald Trump. When the group is LGBTQ extremists, that gets buried as an aside.

Headline: Target stores see more bomb threats over Pride merchandise. The clear implication it's the people boycotting the Pride merchandise calling in the bomb threats since they are the ones being attacked in the media.

Target stores in at least five states were evacuated this weekend after receiving bomb threats. Though no explosives were discovered, the incidents tie into the backlash over the retail chain’s Pride Month merchandise.

The first paragraph, and even I think it's MAGA extremists. Other than had it been MAGA extremists, the first two words in the article would be "MAGA extremists," as would the headline.

Second paragraph:

The threats Saturday in parts of Oklahoma, New York, New Hampshire, Vermont and Louisiana mirror those made in recent weeks in Ohio, Utah and Pennsylvania. In most instances, unknown individuals emailed the threats to local news outlets. The FBI and the regional Joint Terrorism Task Force have been assisting with the investigation in some jurisdictions.

SEVENTH paragraph, and they have spent more time writing about who is boycotting Target and angry at the store targeting kids than who is claiming to blow the stores up.

Target weeks earlier announced that it would pull back its merchandise for Pride Month after threats over this year’s collection. In a statement in late May, Target spokeswoman Kayla Castañeda said: “Given these volatile circumstances, we are making adjustments to our plans, including removing items that have been at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior.”

It is not until the eighth paragraph that we find out a message was sent to news outlets from those claiming responsibility. That message? "The message, which accused Target of betraying the LGBTQ+ community, named a store in South Burlington, Vt., and ones in Plattsburgh, N.Y., and in Keene and West Lebanon, N.H."

The fact it's LGBTQ+ extremists responsible is only mentioned once more in passing, five more paragraphs down. And it isn't just Washington Post.

This isn't just a Trump talking point. A vast majority of people who work in corporate journalisming corporation hate you and hate every opinion you have that disagrees with them. I'd bet all the money in my pockets that the reason they went into jorunalisming was because of that hate, and because they didn't think the media was biased enough.
