Another teacher has been put on administrative leave over a TikTok video. The video was first uncovered by the popular Libs of TikTok Twitter account, a Twitter account that has grown more popular after a failed attempt by Washington Post journailsmers to have the account shut down. In the video, the unnamed teacher bragged about encouraging students to be, quote, "queer" because she was queer. She also played games with them.

“A lot of them [students] are queer because I am queer.”

In recent years, teachers have taken to the popular Chinese-owned social media platform TikTok to openly discuss ways they are using their classrooms to promote a political agenda. It's unclear if these teachers understand how the internet works and that everyone can see these videos, including some that are recorded in the teachers' classrooms.

Discussions about sexual and gender-related topics in grade school have grown particularly controversial. Critics say it is inappropriate for teachers to be doing so when it isn't "age-appropriate" (like, say, 4th graders) and, instead, should be focusing on things like teaching math, English, and history.

Libs of TikTok followed up on their original report saying this teacher has been put on administrative leave. The school issued a statement:

"Late Friday afternoon, we became aware of a concerning video posted to social media of one of our teachers. In the video, the teacher describes several inappropriate conversations with former students. The employee has been placed on administrative leave pending a thorough investigation. Our teachers are expected to comport themselves with the highest degree of professionalism. Behavior that is unprofessional, in violation of state code, or that violates the trust placed in us by the families of Renaissance Academy will not be tolerated."
