Video is making its way around Twitter of a dude punching his teacher as SHE tried breaking up a fight in her classroom. Why the female teacher was breaking up the fight and none of the males in the classroom, we'll get to in a minute. I'm just happy to see someone try to break up a fight for a change. That isn't always the case as we see way too many times.

The two students, whose names are withheld for being juveniles, were arrested for battery of a teacher. The teacher's identity is also being withheld and is continuing to recover. Her nose isn't broken as one of the students assumed in the video, but she's still badly bruised.

St. Bernard Parish Public Schools Superintendent Doris Voitier said she was appalled when she saw the video. And that the students will be “held accountable” because they need to “realize that actions have consequences.” So that's nice.

Back to the males in the classroom, who I venture to guess also like to watch when their girlfriends are with other dudes. It's one thing to not want to break up a fight. We've all been kids standing around in a circle screaming "fight" as our peers were wailing on each other. But the minute your FEMALE TEACHER attempts to get in the middle, you put your goddamned phone down and get in her way. Then you act like men and break up the fight yourselves.

At the very least, after you see the teacher get punched, you all take turns punching the kid who did it. Not politely try to suggest the kids stop fighting with each other. It's an embarrassment all around.
