Thousands of students were allowed to ditch class this week to scold us adults for packing heat (see Principal Removes Student for Pro-Gun Rights Sign and School Shooting Survivor: 'National Walkout is Disrespectful to Victims'). Normally cutting class would earn you a trip to the principal's office. Since this case of playing hooky was to push leftism, just about everyone was onboard.

Many of us have asked the hypothetical question: "What if the kids were walking out over abortion?" Would they get the same level of support? Well, wonder no more. A teacher was just put on leave for daring to ask that very question.

“We had a dialogue in class about it in Thursday and Friday. And today I received the call. So I am aghast,” said Julianne Benzel.

“And so I just kind of used the example which I know it’s really controversial, but I know it was the best example I thought of at the time—a group of students nationwide, or even locally, decided ‘I want to walk out of school for 17 minutes’ and go in the quad area and protest abortion, would that be allowed by our administration?” she said.

Of course not. Were the kiddos to stand up against abortion, leftists would say "these children lack the life experience to understand such a complex issue." Fair enough. However, when the youngsters want to stick it to the NRA and douse the Second Amendment in Wite-Out?

After posing the question, this happened:

“A Rocklin High School teacher has been placed on paid administrative leave due to several complaints from parents and students involving the teacher’s communications regarding today’s student-led civic engagement activities.”

Take note, the teacher never took a stand on abortion or openly resisted the walkouts. All she did was dare to ask "what if?" She used free speech to bring the students' method of free speech into question. Now, she's out on her butt and the kiddos are seventeen minutes dumber than they would have been. Also, the school board comes across as a bunch of hypocritical douchelords. Here's a tip. When free speech only goes one way, it ain't free speech.

The left is utilizing these kids as political pawns to push their regressive views, and stifling anyone who disapproves. Progressives are more than happy to use these kiddos like human shields to avoid debating us pro-gunners on even ground. Pathetic.
