Democrat Congressman gets fact-checked so hard over the 'Twitter Files' he deletes the tweet in shame and embarrassment
The theme of the latest batch of the Twitter Files is that any opinion or contrary fact to the government narrative on SCHMOVID was deemed "misinformation." In the olden days, the pre-Elon Musk times, Democrats can get away with it. As Rep. Ted Lieu found out the hard way, not anymore.
It isn't the first time Ted Lieu has been busted spreading misinformation. Only the first time the shame and embarrassment caused him to delete his tweet.
To set the stage, Joe Biden got sworn in and his first order of business was yelling at Big Tech companies to censor opinions he didn't like.
8. When the Biden admin took over, one of their first meeting requests with Twitter executives was on Covid. The focus was on “anti-vaxxer accounts.” Especially Alex Berenson: pic.twitter.com/yBNeF2YbD3

One of the targets was Kelley K, a self-proclaimed public health fact checker.

Here's where Ted Lieu comes in. He chirped at David Zweig that he was spreading misinformation, claiming everything you have heard from the government up until this point. To Lieu's credit, he showed his sources by linking to the study he was referencing... in a tweet, he has since deleted. (shout out to Redstate)
He deleted it, but our slack channel still had it. pic.twitter.com/lZzDRh3JPV

Why was it deleted? Mayhaps because the preprint of a study he links to needed to be rewritten... thanks to the critique of Kelley K.
@tedlieu The preprint you linked to has actually been re-written as a result of my critique because it is seriously flawed and inaccurate. You linked to the old version. https://t.co/wu6NBfzaL6

Whoopsiedoodle!
Ted is linking to misleading data @CommunityNotes
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) December 26, 2022
Misinformation is bad. People can literally die literally. Ted Lieu should stop spreading misinformation to his users.
Also, imagine if for the past two-plus years plus fifteen days to flatten the curve, we were allowed an honest debate about mitigation efforts. That would have been helpful.
