Izzy Cook is the fresh new teenage face of leftist slacktivism. She is the new Greta Thunberg in that she cuts class in the name of "climate" when she really, REALLY needs to stay in school. And oy, did she get busted in a radio interview.

I guess last Friday was a global School Strike 4 Climate. Izzy organized for her home country of New Zealand. The focus was on agriculture. So all those policies that will destroy farmers' livelihoods and make food more expensive for the rest of us? Izzy is all about it.

She also thinks people should "have to apply to have, like, approved events to be able to fly for." Unclear is if the approval would have to come from the government, or at the very least a team of unelected government bureaucrats. During a radio interview, the interviewer was mighty curious about this proposal.

REPORTER: I'm planning to fly to Fiji, do you think that I should?
DINGBAT: No, not under the current climate crisis.
REPORTER: When did you last fly?
DINGBAT: A few months ago.
REPORTER: Where did you go?
DINGBAT: ...Fiji.

What sells it is Izzy's brief pause before admitting she flew to Fiji. It was only then that her brain processed she's been caught.

Izzy's excuse was "it’s pretty ironic" and that "it’s not really a trip that I wanted to go on, but I can’t really get out of it." All while insisting that she is, like, totally all, like, super serious about the climate and things. And while the interviewer laughed in her face.

This is why you don't take policy advice from children, no matter how much the media or your favorite celebrity signals their virtue about them. Leftists will continue to prop kids up so they can accuse you of "bullying" them. It's one of their favorite techniques to delegitimize dissent outside of accusing you of an -ism.

There's no bullying. There's only patting these kids on the head, saying "that's cute," and telling them to go scamper off and make a TikTok or something.
