In the recent storm of sexual allegations, Terry Crews stepped forward to remind everyone that men can be assaulted too. He suffered an attack from the wandering hands of a powerful, male Hollywood someone not too long ago. Up until recently, nobody knew who that someone was. Now Terry has not only named his groper, he's taking legal action against him.

Terry Crews is suing the agent he claims groped him at a Hollywood party ... TMZ has learned.

Crews is suing [WME] agent Adam Venit ... The actor has already filed a police report claiming sexual assault and our law enforcement sources say that the investigation is ongoing.

Crews says he met with WME's chairman Ari Emanuel, who apologized for Venit's behavior. Crews said he told Emanuel he feared retaliation, but Emanuel said Venit "did not have that level of power despite his title as head of the Motion Picture Department."

Oh, and let's not forget this little detail.

Good on Crews for doing what he's doing. The simple solution would have been to crush Adam Venit with his powerful, titan hands. Nobody would have blamed him.

Instead, Terry is approaching this from a lawful standpoint. He had to let himself be vulnerable to the public as a "male victim" during this process. It's not easy and it should be applauded (see Russell Simmons Orders Terry Crews to Forgive Groper. But It Gets Worse...).

This serves as an important reminder that men can be assaulted too. Something often overlooked during the whirlwind of sexual assault accusations.
