Tess Holliday Complains 'Plus Size' Models Aren't Fat Enough...
When it comes to feminists, it may seem like there is no conceivable way to meet their many victimized demands (see Proud Feminist Amy Schumer: ‘Don’t Call me Plus-Sized!’ Let’s Count the Ironies…). Well, that's because it's true. It's never enough for these irate, hoofed mammals. Welcome to exhibit Q. The chief behemoth of obesity, Tess Holliday, threw a hissy fit over a few fat models who apparently weren't "fat enough" for her ever-expanding tastes.
Straight from the horse's mouth:
On Monday, the #EffYourBeautyStandards creator tweeted a cryptic message which read, “Please use visibly plus-size models in campaigns and stop showing us the same damn body types.”
Please 👏🏻 use 👏🏻 visibly 👏🏻 plus 👏🏻 size 👏🏻 models 👏🏻 in 👏🏻 campaigns 👏🏻 and 👏🏻 stop 👏🏻 showing 👏🏻us 👏🏻the 👏🏻 same 👏🏻 damn 👏🏻 body types 👏🏻— Tess Holliday 🥀 (@Tess Holliday 🥀) 1501532432.0
It’s unclear which company the model was targeting (Holliday did not return Yahoo Style’s request for comment), but earlier that day, Lane Bryant debuted its #TheNewSkinny campaign promoting the Super Stretch Skinny Jean and starring plus models Denise Bidot, Hunter McGrady, Philomena Kwao, and Bree Kish.
These women look visibly fat to me. Still, twas not enough to sate certain parties. I'll allow them to explain:
These four women are undoubtedly beautiful but Shatonia Amee, fashion director and wardrobe stylist for Curvy Revolution magazine, says Kish and Bidot don’t represent the average plus-size woman. “These two models could likely find clothing at a mainstream store,” Amee tells Yahoo Style. “And that’s where the upset comes in — some women feel, ‘This is not our story.’”
So, if I'm correct, methinks the complaint is that they look too good. Perhaps the photographer should have thrown in a few less "skinny" angles in there. In order to stay true to the plus-sized spirit of their campaign, Lane Bryant should have let these ladies flaunt what they got: triple chins.
Naturally things like this are all too triggering for Tess Holliday, who's never known the likes of "skinny angle" privilege. Her Thighness inspired loads of ploppy minions to quickly jump in with acclamations of victimization.
@Tess_Holliday YASS queen. All shapes, sizes, colours, heights, we need natural representation! 😻— case. (@case.) 1501550235.0
@Tess_Holliday I NEED to accept me RIGHT now AS I AM. I AM beautiful like ME, NOT like U! SHOW IT TO THE WORLD… https://t.co/fiu4xEgC9O— Lisa Lyrics (@Lisa Lyrics) 1501637268.0
Despite uncomfortable amounts of social justice delusion, most of the post's replies were skeptical of the lard queen.
@Tess_Holliday Clap all you want, still doesn't make this right. Glad you accept yourself. People should want to lo… https://t.co/ZAfqVI4WIq— Johnny Darcalli (@Johnny Darcalli) 1501541477.0
@Tess_Holliday Why yes let's normalize one of the leading causes of death in the United States— beta cuck (@beta cuck) 1501631509.0
Some are still peeved at Tess Holliday's lengthy history of (allegedly) purveying the myth of "fat but fit." See New Study: 'Fat But Fit' is a Gross Exaggeration, Stop Believing It...
Of course, the real point here is private companies should market to whomever they want however they please. Leftists keep trying to limit that and impose their own morally superior guidelines. In this case, Lane Bryant certainly failed to appease the army of this muffin stuffing, curdled dumpling.
Not to worry, they probably didn't carry her size anyway.
