The economy and inflation might be at the top of the issues voters will be taking into account when they cast their votes in November, but illegal immigration is still a problem, and for voters who live in border states, it will certainly play into who they pull the lever for. It might also be something more DC liberals might be thinking about now, too, after seventy-nine buses full of illegal migrants from Texas and Arizona have been dropped off in the area since the middle of April.

An exclusive report from the Washington Examiner states that "more than 2,500 people who were released from Border Patrol custody after illegally crossing from Mexico have opted to take 79 free, state-provided buses to the nation's capital [sic] under initiatives rolled out by governors of [Arizona and Texas]."

Most (65) of the buses have come out of Texas with an additional 14 coming out of Arizona.

What had initially looked like it was just going to be a publicity stunt by Texas Governor Greg Abbott has turned into a regular practice of shipping immigrants to the Democratic stronghold of DC. It also happens to be where all of the Democratic lawmakers who have allowed the crisis at the border to rage out of control go to work, so perhaps we'll see some actions being taken. It's doubtful, but there's a chance.

The policy of shipping illegal aliens to lefty cities and states may also be baring other fruits, as Republican Mayra Flores managed a historic victory in a district that has been controlled by Democrats for over 150 years.
