The Inspiring Reason this NFL Anthem Photo is Going Viral
Few songs are more politicized -- now at least -- than the National Anthem (see Salon.com Now Says the National Anthem is Racist and Jemele Hill: Trump Caring About National Anthem is ‘Racial Pornography’). It must be some kind of annoying twitch of the left: ruining all that used to be good and decent. Ruining the anthem is, dare I say it, even worse than politicizing Taylor Swift refusing to politicize her fanbase. Banning plastic straws. Sucking the fun out of Halloween. Tumblers. You're getting the picture.
Ground zero for this front in the culture wars is the NFL. Well game set match. This photo is going viral for all the right reasons.

That's real America. One American helping another American over their love of both America and sports. So while media tries pushing you into believing Brett Kavanaugh is a douche who might be a part of a gang-rape ring (no), and while social media has certainly made us more tribal and more divided, remember real America is still outside of all that. Specifically it's outside. In the real world. Not in digital dwellings of perpetual suck.
Hope is still out there. Not necessarily inside your iPhone.
Sadly, this photo was the only positive thing to happen for New York Giants fans last Sunday. But we'll take the good with the bad.
