It's a Tale of Two Bills. Or a tale of two sex-offenders. Whichever one you deem to have the best ring to it.

They were the best of Bills, they were the worst of Bills. It was the age of stardom, it was the age of scandal. It was the epoch of power, it was the epoch of weakness...

Have to admit, we weren't the first ones to recognize the striking similarities between the Bills. It was - wait for it - Salon. Yes, Salon. They're usually way off base, but credit where due, they came through this time.

In an interview with Camille Paglia, devout feminist, Salon hammers the scathing similarities between between the Bill Clinton and Bill Cosby scandals and asks the obvious question. Why is the whole world outraged over Bill Cosby, but not so much over Bill Clinton?

After all, as Camille points out,

The actual facts of the matter are that Bill Clinton was a serial abuser of working-class women–he had exploited that power differential even in Arkansas. And then in the case of Monica Lewinsky–I mean, the failure on the part of Gloria Steinem and company to protect her was an absolute disgrace in feminist history! What bigger power differential could there be than between the president of the United States and this poor innocent girl? Not only an intern but clearly a girl who had a kind of pleading, open look to her–somebody who was looking for a father figure.

Yet, Bill Clinton (and subsequently, Hillary) get a free pass. He's a misogynist scumbag who thinks that women should be so lucky to be graced with the mere presence of his tallywhacker... and Hillary enabled this for years. Yet, somehow feminists find themselves on team shut up and take it Hillary.

To summarize...

Bill Cosby accused of raping women: BAN THE COSBYS! Bill Clinton accused of raping women: CELEBRATE THE CLINTONS!

Huh?

In classic powerful vs. powerless fashion, Bill Cosby took advantage of women. The media, rightfully, eviscerates the man. Bill Clinton also took advantage of women. The media ignores it.

Leftists and the media do not care about women. They don't. They don't care if Planned Parenthood sells your babies parts, they don't care if ISIS kidnaps and enslaves women, and they don't care if Bill Clinton rapes you. They just don't.

Real defenders of women don't have selective outrage when men abuse their "manliness." Kudos to Camille for standing up and saying what more feminists should. Bill Clinton and Bill Cosby have a lot more in common than their initials. It's time we drop the hammer on both.
