If it's me, I'm sending JD Vance out to do interviews with corporate media and leaving Trump to do interviews like this. It's your typical good cop/bad cop. The VP is supposed to be the attack dog, and if you're Republican, it means squaring off against corporate journalsimers.

Trump shines in these interviews, allowing him to take his message to a much broader and more mainstream audience.
