WATCH: TikTok Chick Eats Pounds Of Butter Every Day, Says It Helps Her Avoid Panic Attacks
This TikTok gal eats pounds of butter and oil everyday. Which is much better than the TikTok gym bro who ate wet cat food for the gainz. That video is forever burned into my retinas.
Twenty-four-year-old Manon Alias Onboou of France has gotten millions of TikTok views by showing her fans just how much fat she consumes on a daily basis. Onboou actually said she's recovering from an eating disorder, and that eating copious amounts of fat helps her ward off panic attacks: “I started eating butter and chocolate together whenever my eating disorders got worse, because I would simply empty my pantry otherwise."
In one video, she showed her fans a haul of four days-worth of groceries and unloaded 18 packages of butter and four bottles of oil. If this really is just for four days, that means she eats 4.5 packages of butter and a bottle of oil per day. The comments of her TikTok reflected the shock of her viewers, with many asking why she eats so much butter. There are also many comments wishing her well and offering her support in her recovery.
She said that the super sweet combo helps her avoid binging, and she wants to share her diet online to feel less alone as she recovers from her eating disorder: "Although many people suffer from this, I used to hide myself and feel ashamed, as well as guilty. For those who don’t suffer, it allows them to see the living hell some people go through and possibly be more aware of pathological behaviors they could notice from their friends. I like showing the reality that the path to recovery is not linear – it doesn’t go from everything to nothing.”
I wish Onboou well in her recovery. It seems that when people recover from eating disorders, they often go through periods of disordered eating habits other than restriction before they begin to eat normally again - so perhaps that's what she's going through now. I hope she will soon get to a healthier place physically and mentally, and hopefully adopt a more typical diet. With just a tad less butter.
