Tim Allen Promises: 'We're going to Drill Hillary'
Tim Allen's "Last Man Standing" on ABC has been a surprise for many, because Allen plays an openly Conservative leading man. I wouldn't call it a "Conservative" show because it focuses less on being "in your face, look how conservative I am, Jesus, liberty, constitution" and more on simply being funny and entertaining and ... good. 'Good' helps.
The fact that it's more of the latter than it is the former might explain why righty blogs don't talk about it much, but what can you do.
In the show, Tim Allen plays Vice President of a sporting goods store. His son-in-law is a leftist vegan (and will probably become increasingly SJW in the new season). His youngest daughter wants to grow up to be Barry Goldwater. He raises his family, runs his business, and makes as many jokes as he can about President Obama and his liberal policies that he can. Basically, he's like 99% of small business owners in the United States of America.
Thankfully, things don't seem to be changing in the new season...
"We're going to drill Hillary," the star told FOX411 at the Television Critics Association Q&A session for his ABC series. "It will be horrible personally if Hillary continued [to lead the Democrats], but it will be great for the storyline if she continues."How far the comedy is going to be allowed to go with its candidate bashing depends on ABC, which has several times expressed its unhappiness at Allen's character labeling President Obama a communist.
The show is on ABC, Friday's at 8:00 PM. You owe it to yourself to take some time and give it a try. Don't expect a GOP debate or CableNews smut, just some laughs.
Isn't that enough?
