Tim Kaine surprises us once more, emerging onto the scene to make a moronic statement (see Tim Kaine: Let's Replace Confederate Statues with Pocahontas). Just like his former running mate, Kaine loves to haunt us (see Hillary Clinton Takes Aim at NRA, Silencers After Las Vegas Shooting). But his appearances are laughable. Like an unfortunate pimple, not quite ready to pop.

Taking cues from Hillary, Kaine spoke out against the threatening danger of gun silencers:

Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine [claimed] the Las Vegas Shooter was "only" stopped because he did not have a silencer on his guns.

"He only was stopped finally because he didn't have a silencer on his weapon," Kaine told the Washington Post. "And the sound drew people to the place where he was ultimately stopped. Can you imagine what this would have been if he'd had silencers on these weapons?"

Yes, we can imagine. It would have gone... not much differently.

Every leftist and their unruly eyebrows lost their crap over silencers because Congress was slated to approve legislation making it easier to buy suppressors. Anti-gun activists keep trying to tie silencers into the Las Vegas shooting to scare people and make their argument seem relevant. It's all a big fail (watch MSNBC Reporter Goes Off on Gun Silencers. Makes Herself Look Like an Idiot...).

We've debunked false claims about gun silencers before, but this time The Washington Post smacked down Kaine so hard, his man boobs concaved.

The Washington Post Fact Checker gave Kaine "Two Pinnochios" for his comments.

In a lengthy examination of the claims, the Post [noted] that suppressors do not actually silence a weapon and might now have done much to mask the sound of the Las Vegas shooter's hotel-room arsenal.

The column concluded "...the evidence does not support Kaine's claim that the shooter was 'only stopped' because he did not have suppressors on his weapons ... The crowd under attack might have had trouble establishing the location of the shooter if he had silencers, but he fired from a hotel filled with guests who almost certainly would have heard 132 decibels from the floors above and below the attack."

All of these anti-gun arguments are rooted in fiction. Just like Kaine's intellect. If you're wondering how much leftists know about guns, watch a few action movies. They source their gun knowledge from Hollywood -- where silencers make guns lethally silent and also every gun is a machine gun. EVERY GUN!

At this point it's just embarrassing to watch the left attempt to talk about guns. They should educate themselves on the subject before they emit any more thought gas while trying to strip your rights.
