'Credible Threat' Forces Tim Pool to Evacuate His Studio During a Livestream, But the Cameras Kept Rolling
Tim Pool was forced to evacuate his studio during a live broadcast on Wednesday night. The first time this had happened, police entered this studio. But this threat was credible enough that he was told he just needs to get out.
Wow! Just now, during a live taping of @Timcast, the crew is told they must evacuate the building.
Scary stuff. pic.twitter.com/GaolmlfzVl

He kept the camera's rolling in case anything else had happened.
34,000 people watching an empty @Timcast studio. Live. More people watching this than the watched the state of the union address. And the Oscars. Combined 😂 pic.twitter.com/IPSIXG52UK

Pool addressed the incident briefly on Twitter, saying there was a potentially credible threat that caused police to arrive on site and specialists en route, but he was keeping details to a minimum for security reasons. At this point, it's becoming old hat for Pool, who has been swatted multiple times in recent months. The idea behind swatting is to send police to someone's home under heightened circumstances just to see what happens. It was something being done during the Obama administration against people who disagreed with the president's policies. Erick Erickson, formerly of Redstate, discussed his experience being swatted, including audio of the 911 call.
Tim Pool is known for having similar opinions with which the left disagrees. Most recently, he placed a billboard in Times Square about what a horrible reporter Taylor Lorenz is. Whether or not this has anything to do with Pool being swatted while he was live-streaming is unclear at this time. Ms. Lorenz declined to comment. I didn't actually reach out for comment, but as per journalisming rules, I don't actually have to.
It also appears Tim was not the only YouTuber who fell victim on Wednesday night.
Seems Jeremy and I got swatted by the same person https://t.co/P3FZgjjSNc

It's become a terrifying time to be someone who has a different opinion than a liberal. This week, a Christian crisis pregnancy center was firebombed in Buffalo. Yesterday, a man was arrested attempting to assassinate Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh. As of this morning, Pool has yet to update any details about what happened.
