It was weird when Kamala Harris chose Tim Walz as his running mate. The Democrats believe that the only reason someone outside of New York City and San Francisco wouldn't vote for Kamala is her race and gender. If they took an old white guy, put him in a camo hat and a flannel shirt, and just plopped him in the Rust Belt, it would give those pesky whites "permission" to vote for the Black and/or Indian lady. So they chose Weird Walz, a candidate who's such a left-wing lunatic that he makes Kamala seem sober.

Turns out Walz has quite the fondness for Communist China, as the Washington Free Beacon broke on Monday.

Three quick notes:

• Walz debuted on White Dudes for Kamala, claiming that one man's "socialism" is another man's being neighborly.
• He honeymooned n in Communist China and ensured his wedding anniversary was on the anniversary of Tiananmen Square.
• Kamala's first economic proposal even caused the Washington Post to say that when you're opponent is calling you a commie, DON'T suggest price controls.

Now, here's Weird Walz teaching students how awesome Chinese Communism is. Why? Because everyone shares!

"It means that everyone is the same and everyone shares," Walz said during a lesson on China's communist system in November 1991. "The doctor and the construction worker make the same. The Chinese government and the place they work for provide housing and 14 kg or about 30 pounds of rice per month. They get food and housing."

Walz's remarks were reported in a 1991 article in Nebraska's Alliance Times-Herald that focused on his work on student exchange programs in China. At the time, Walz was teaching social studies at a Nebraska high school.

The candidate "always has been fascinated by Communist China," according to a profile about him published in Nebraska's Star-Herald in 1994. As a child, he recalled seeing "pictures of Mao Tse-tung, hung in public places and carried in parades," the paper reported.

Weird Walz has such a beta boner for Communist China that the DNC Asian Caucus declared that if elected, he would be the first CHINESE vice president. Odd timing to say this on the same day the Free Beacon's news broke.

There aren't enough staged photo ops at Middle America gas stations to hide what an extremist Tim Walz is. And contrary to what the Left and media (but I repeat myself) want you to believe, Communism is not a "vibe."
