It's been a long time since I went to go see a movie in theaters. It's difficult to get excited about anything coming out lately because it's all virtue signaling dreck without good storytelling or soul. And the stuff that isn't overtly terrible is nonetheless soaked in progressive, leftist, borderline Satanic messaging that I'd rather not waste my time or money seeing. But it would seem this isn't the case with the new Top Gun sequel.

No. Top Gun: Maverick is allegedly so pro-American, so patriotic, and so badass that it scared away a group of communist investors. The mere sight of real red, white, and blue was enough to send the pinko bastards running for the hills and crying to Xi Jinping.

I'm wary to see anything coming out these days, and I'm even more apprehensive about seeing sequels or reboots these days because I don't want to watch Hollywood ruin movies I loved when I was younger.

Like many people born before American culture become all about hating the country, Top Gun was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. Unlike many people, I don't really associate Tom Cruise with Mission Impossible--I've actually never seen a Mission Impossible movie. Tom Cruise was always Maverick or Lt. Kaffee (another naval officer Cruise played).

But hey, the bossman says it's a good movie. Quite a few other guys and gals have told me it was pretty awesome. I might just have to go check it out. And we recommend you go see it, too. Let Hollywood know what kind of movies you want to see, and what kind of movies you're willing to pay money to support. Will it change the culture overnight? Probably not. But the movies are still a money game, and we capitalists know how to play it.
