Police: Leave your car keys outside the store so that thugs don't break into your house to steal them
In Canada, you do not have the right to own a gun. However, if a criminal thug is armed and wants to steal your car at gunpoint, Toronto police won’t do anything but recommend you acquiesce. That is the best they can do.
I know what you are thinking and I agree. Yes, the Toronto Police Department is very, very pathetic.
But we know what happens when officials condone a culture of lawlessness. You get nothing but surging crime rates as criminals know they will not be held accountable for making law-abiding citizens suffer.
According to City News Everywhere:
Toronto Police are being heavily criticized online for what many consider a shoulder-shrugging approach to the rash of car thefts that continue to plague the Greater Toronto Area.
At an Etobicoke safety meeting last month, Cst. Marco Ricciardi advised residents to leave their key fobs in a faraday pouch in a convenient place for thieves as a way to lessen the risk of violent confrontations.
“To prevent the possibility of being attacked in your home, leave your fobs at the front door because they are breaking into your home to steal your car; they don’t want anything else.
“A lot of them that they’re arresting have guns on them and they are not toy guns,” he ominously added. “They are real guns. They’re loaded.”
Question: Should residents also keep the door unlocked to make it easier for thugs to get the keys?
That advice sparked an angry reaction on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“This is bizarre,” wrote one X user.
“Toronto Police advising the public to leave your fobs near the door. They suggest this because invaders are primarily entering homes to steal your cars. Why not hang your keys outside the door? Or better yet, just leave them in the car.”
The original poster has got a point. Why not just give the criminals your keys at this point?
What officials have basically said is that rather than crack down on crime, they would much rather embolden criminals. But the crazy thing about that is that it does not help anyone but criminals. Is that what they want? Because it sure seems like it.
Maybe officers are confused. Isn’t their job to promote public safety rather than lawlessness? Because that is de facto what they are doing.
It seems that pretending to care is the best Canadians can get.
But the most obvious realization regarding all of this is that just because you disarm law-abiding citizens, does not mean criminals will stop using it. Thugs love gun control.
In Canada, porch pirates and people committing grand theft auto have more rights than law-abiding citizens. Let that sink in.
When you are not allowed to protect yourself and the police say they can’t help you - what are Canadians to do?
That remains unclear at this time.
