As is always the case, the left will always find new and ever-imaginative ways to discover victimhood, rearranging both reality and already tortured thought processes to birth a monster previously only referenced in parody form. Christopher Rufo over at City Journal has broken the latest narrative forming around one of the left's favorite movements, that of transgender rights. And while the videos he has leaked come from an event held last year, the arguments being made haven't burst onto the scene just yet. Until now.

Biology hasn't been oppressive enough, so it would seem, and transgender organizations and the activists who staff them must have thought long and hard about how to expand their special brand of "woe is me," arriving at an oldie but a goodie: colonialism. And while you might be wondering exactly how European settlers venturing to the new world had any effect on a bunch of mentally confused drag queens in the present, they try their best to explain it.

As it turns out, Europeans brought the gender binary over to the Americas... You can let that simmer for a moment.

Yes. European settlers came over the Atlantic, bringing the good news of Christ, new technology, the unimaginably vast well of Western knowledge, and biological essentialism--because there's absolutely no way Native Americans were already divided into males and females, you bigot.

Several of the activists describe how it is actually the European colonialist system that restricts human beings, separating them into the gender binary, instead of allowing, say, a man with a mustache, unkempt brow, and (his words, not mine) "big d*ck" from being considered just as feminine as any actual woman. If the Europeans had never settled in the Americas, these people would be accepted for the unicorns, cyborgs, and Pokémon trainers that they are. And yes, those are a few of the "genders" they present.

Ultimately, however, acceptance and tolerance are not enough. The members of these organizations--oh, and did I mention they receive taxpayer funding and all run programs directed at children--demand the entire destruction of capitalism, patriarchy, gender, imperialism, and "white European land ownership."

Additionally, they want your money. One of the speakers is quite frank about it, calling for white people with savings accounts--or rather, access to their parents' savings accounts (I'm not kidding)--to fork over their money to trans activists for reparations so they can "rest" after "doing the work."
