Chicago police can change their gender, so now this cop is suing to change his race
Race is an insignificant thing, especially compared to things like gender. Because of that, if people can change their gender all because they wake up with an ambiguous “feeling” that no one in existence can explain, then the logic serves that you should also be able to change your race. But the problem with that is that logical reasoning is not something that gets in the way of progressive priorities. And because of that, we have this story.
A man is suing the City of Chicago because he claims that as a Police officer, he has been discriminated against because of his race - to the point that he has missed out on promotions.
A Chicago police officer is suing the city to change his race on his official records after the department said it would allow officers to freely change their gender to match their identity.
Mohammad Yusuf, 43, said in a federal civil rights lawsuit filed last week that he is looking to change from "Caucasian" as he "currently identifies as Egyptian and African American." However, the Chicago Police Department is not allowing him to change his race.
The lawsuit comes as the department allows an officer’s "gender identity [to be] corrected to match their lived experience," Yusuf’s lawsuit alleges.
And, the decision is impacting Yusuf’s professional advancement, he claims.
According to the lawsuit, Yusuf alleges that he has been repeatedly overlooked for promotions due to his "Caucasian" race. These promotions, he claims, have been given to other minority applicants with only very few going to Caucasian applicants.
This lawsuit is great. At some point, progressives cannot just push their insane ideology onto the masses without someone trying to beat them at their own game.
It was practically overnight when we all woke up and were faced with demands to “affirm” the woke masses. But it takes two to tango. And if we must acquiesce to progressive insanity, all we ask is for the logical reasoning to be equal under the law. That is all we want. But I guess “equality” does not matter in the pursuit of “equity.”
Progressives only exploit so-called “victims'' if it benefits the pursuit of their political revolution. They don’t care about real victims.
But the harsh reality about this lawsuit is that it's not surprising to hear that he was allegedly discriminated against because of his skin color. This case would be a lot funnier if this were not the status quo.
Yusuf specifically claims he "scored in the first promotional tier" on the sergeant’s exam in 2019. But, he was not promoted then and has still not received such a promotion.
Since that time, he alleges in the lawsuit to have seen "over 75 Merit Promotions to sergeant," with "less than five" going to candidates who identify as Caucasian.
"Despite Yusuf’s exemplary qualifications and the purported race-neutral policy of the Merit System, Yusuf has been repeatedly bypassed for promotion in favor of less qualified candidates, based on their race, specifically African American officers, some of whom had disciplinary issues and were not suitable for the responsibilities of a sergeant," Yusuf said in his complaint.
I hope this man prevails in his lawsuit. Although it is entertaining to see someone try and throw this nonsense back into the face of progressive tyrants, the truth is that race is such an insignificant thing that it should have no part in job placement. And if it does, then it should be just as easy to change races since it's even more insignificant than something like gender. But again, progressives don’t tend to like this little thing called “equality under the law.”
That said, it is more reasonable to believe this guy is an Egyptian black man in comparison to Elizabeth Warren being Native American. But I guess the courts will end up being the arbiter on that one as we can only hope his struggle with adversity soon comes to an end for good.
