FREAK SHOW: Mother and Son are Transitioning to... Father and Daughter?!
No, I'm not walking back that headline. This is an absolute freak show, for which we should probably sell tickets. A mother and her son are actually, together, transitioning to father and daughter. It's okay, I'll repeat it because yes, it's as confusing as it is bizarre. Yet here we are...
Eric and Corey Maison, from Detroit, each struggled for years with their gender identities, unaware their loved one was also facing a battle of their own.Corey, 15, told her parents she identified as a girl four years ago. Then last year, her mother Erica revealed she too would transition and live as Eric.
Pause. Rewind. Play: Corey, at 11, decided he was a chick. Told his parents. Parents then let little Corey run wild with the pigtails, pink tutus, and Justin Bieber posters.
I can employ female stereotypes, because trannies did it first.
Corey and Eric’s relationship had changed from mother and son to father and daughter.“I wanted to make my parents proud of who I am, but I thought that they would not like me,” Corey told Tara Brown on 60 Minutes of her early childhood years.
How to be proud of yourself: do something worthy of pride and admiration. This usually takes the form an accomplishment. For a child, this would be good grades, doing well in sports, standing up to bullies, being a decent human being. It typically doesn't include mental delusion in which, as a boy, you think you're a pretty, pretty girl. We clear on that?
Meanwhile, Eric said he always dreamed of living his life as a man and Corey’s brave decision to begin her transition inspired Eric to do the same.
No, being transgender is not brave. I'll write about this at another time, for now enjoy Dear 'Transwomen': No, You DON'T Know What it Feels Like to be a Woman.
To repeat, a transgender father and daughter... are transitioning together. In the history of the English language, those words have never been arranged in that order before. Mark your calendars, you've just witnessed history. It makes me want to sit in the corner and sob, sure. I realize transgender is the new protected class on the scene (see Trans ‘Pastor’ Demands Bathroom Access Because ‘God is Transgender’ and “Male” Transgender Wrestler Steamrolls Competition...In Female Division). But, I think transgenderism has reached its foregone conclusion...
