I'm losing track in these stories if it's a he-she or a she-he, but we're talking about a male prison. I'm assuming, regardless of how this person identifies, the prisoner in question has a penis. But the transsexual prisoner is having a rough go of doing hard time (that's what she said). It wants to be transferred to a women's prison (who doesn't?). It's suing Massachusetts to make it happen.

Being assigned to an all-male prison was traumatic enough.

But a transgender woman incarcerated at MCI-Norfolk says she has been subjected to groping and taunting by male prisoners and correctional officers who routinely harass her because she identifies as a woman.

Yeah. Because it's prison. Not a book club. Not a wine and cheese party. Prepare to have your bits fondled.

Now, the 52-year-old prisoner, who has lived as a woman and received hormone therapy for nearly 40 years, is suing the Massachusetts Department of Correction in a bid to force the department to move her to the state women’s prison, MCI-Framingham.

If successful, the lawsuit, filed Wednesday in US District Court in Boston, could make her the first transgender woman to be housed with other women prisoners in Massachusetts, said Jennifer L. Levi, director of the Transgender Rights Project at GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders.

Since when is prison placement a category in the Guinness Book of World Records? Shouldn't we be more concerned over sentencing, and less about making penis history? Even if the penis prefers Prada?

Now, admittedly, I've never been to prison. I don't know anyone who has. My knowledge of the hard knock life is limited to movies. But I'm fairly certain, regardless of how you identify, you get abused by prisoners either way. Nothing against you being transgender. It's more you being the new guy and other prisoners are bored.

I mean, does Inmate #69420 really think a women's prison would be better for him/her? They must get Netflix in the big house, so surely s/he's seen Orange is the New Black.

Bottom line is, if you're this big of whatever comes after Beta male, they're going to eat you alive no matter where you go.

Especially when you're the inmate who sued to get what they want. Male? Female? A combination of the two? None of that is going to matter in the yard. The male yard. The female yard. Prepare to get your ass beat, son. Daughter. Freak.
