Leftists using the entertainment industry to push their social agenda is nothing new. If you don't like it, you can just not watch it. At least, once upon a time...

That's not enough for "Transparent" creator Jill Soloway, who thinks it's immoral to have anything that doesn't push her agenda...

“I think, as the ACLU is investigating the illegality of keeping women from directing positions, male creators, showrunners, producers and directors have to really face the immorality, their own immorality, of hiring their friends, of telling male stories, of perpetuating male privilege through protagonism,” said Soloway, clad in electric pink as an extra show of feminism. “So that means the male gaze — men as subject, women as object — is business as usual for men to be able to keep telling their stories from their point of view. … (They need to) really offer women the chance to write, to direct, and then to empower them once they are writing and directing, and say, ‘tell your story, tell your story!’”

This is where leftists lose me. One of the main tenants of liberalism (besides "if you disagree with me, you're a sexist racist homophobe") is to divide Americans into groups and to play them off each other. They're incapable of operating any other way. So they create conflict where it's not necessary.

Saying "there needs to be diversity in storytelling and storytellers" is something that, at first glance, sounds reasonable. Andrew Breitbart even famously said, "more voices, not less." We can respectfully disagree with the identity politics of the argument, but still discuss the main point. But that would require liberals to be intellectual honest. Also, not douchebags.

Instead, they push for new voices by trying to delegitamize the current voices. It's not enough for "trans" people to no longer be considered the delusional people that they are, it's now required that all non-trans people be vilified and run out of town. That way they get more "attaboy..." err, I mean "attapersons" from their closed minded circle of friends.
