As the government reopens, both Democrats and Republicans are slamming Chuck Schumer for his failures. Almost as failed as Amy Schumer's career. Wait... are you seeing any similarities here?

A Republican organization took Chuck Schumer-trolling to a whole new troll level with shirts.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee handed out "Schumer shutdown" T-shirts to top Democrats on Capitol Hill Tuesday as a token of remembrance "so they won’t forget what happens when they shut down the federal government for no reason."

"The NRSC decided to get Senate Dems a little something to remember the Schumer Shutdown by so they won't walk away totally empty-handed," the NRSC said in a press release.

NRSC communications director Katie Martin shared photos on Twitter of committee members passing out shirts to Sens. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., Bill Nelson, D-Fla., Bob Casey, D-Pa., Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Kamala Harris, D-Calif., and others.

The overworked interns who inevitably designed these t-shirts have a point: the Democrats shut down the government for no viable reason. Schumer accomplished no DACA deal (see Watch: Trump Budget Director Calls Out Chris Cuomo for Misleading DACA Numbers). It was, in all senses, a failure.

And now we have a commemorative t-shirt to honor the occasion.

Perhaps Schumer could've escaped the blame for this had Trump and his administration not accurately labled it "Schumer's Shutdown." But the name stuck. The blame was laid. It'll be hard for Chucky Schumer to weasel out of this one.
