Planned Parenthood and abortion apologists have long lectured us that "abortions make up a small percent of what Planned Parenthood offers." They usually say it right after proclaiming all of the abortion giant's plethora of "healthcare services" for women (some of which they don't actually provide). Uh huh. On the flipside, a long-held goal of conservatives is to stop Planned Parenthood slaughterhouses from receiving federal greenbacks. So far there hasn't been much luck. Until now, when President Trump essentially called Planned Parenthood's bluff: stop performing abortions, and we'll fund you...

The White House has informally offered to keep taxpayer dollars in place for Planned Parenthood – as long as the organization no longer provides abortions, the New York Times has learned.

'As I said throughout the campaign, I am pro-life and I am deeply committed to investing in women's health and plan to significantly increase federal funding in support of nonabortion services such as cancer screenings,' the president said.

'Polling shows the majority of Americans oppose public funding for abortion, even those who identify as pro-choice,' Trump continued.

'There is an opportunity for organizations to continue the important work they do in support of women's health, while not providing abortion services,' Trump added.

Since abortions allegedly only make up 3% of Planned Parenthood's services, ending the practice should be no biggie. Except the 3% number is as true as Sweden is known as the go-to destination for fun, frivolity, and rape-free extravaganzas. Everyone knows the "3% of services" is but a fairy tale rivaling that of an entire household living large in crummy footwear. Dicing up the babies is the core of Planned Parenthood's business. So much that their employees get blood money commissions for selling abortions. I'm going to say Michael Moore has better odds of fitting in an airplane seat than this compromise has of going through. But, you can't say Trump didn't try.

This little challenge is one reason people elected The Donald. So massive credit where due. From the initial looks of it, this new "healthcare" repeal thing is but an albatross dropping deuces from Washington DC's ivory tower. But calling Planned Parenthood out on their abortion bull caca? Delightful. More of this, please.
