Donald Trump did a town hall event with Sean Hannity in Iowa and the media is already freaking out. Today’s show gets into that.

Trump joined Fox News' "Hannity" on Tuesday night for a town hall discussion on the presidential primary, Biden, dictatorships, and more.

Trump got the media working overtime with his comments to Hannity's question asking him to pledge to "never abuse power as retribution against anybody."

"Except for day one," Trump said. "I want to close the border and I want to drill, drill, drill."

"We're closing the border and we're drilling, drilling, drilling," Trump said. "After that, I'm not a dictator."

Trump's comments come after multiple media outlets claimed a second term for the former president would result in a "dictatorship."

"The media has tried to act as though he legitimacy answered 'yes'," Crowder said. “They are acting as though they are horrified.”

Biden's campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez blasted the comments, saying, "Donald Trump has been telling us exactly what he will do if he’s reelected and tonight he said he will be a dictator on day one."

Would drilling be an example of a dictator?

“He would just be undoing all of the executive orders from Biden that raised your energy prices,” Crowder said. “Donald Trump opened up drilling in this country for the first time in decades. We became a net energy exporter.”

"There has never been an empire that had access to never-ending energy and didn't use it. They were taking over lands and colonizing because they wanted their energy. Can you imagine if the British Empire had Alaska just sitting there?"

What about border security?

"The president has the authority to issue executive orders in times of emergency to protect national security. It is one of the legitimate purviews of the government - to protect national security. Not drag queens in libraries. But ensuring that terrorists do not enter your country" Crowder said.

From Oct. last year to this Sept., officials at the border arrested at least 169 people whose names matched those on the watch list, compared with 98 during the previous fiscal year and 15 in 2021, according to the New York Times.

Illegal aliens cost taxpayers approximately $150 billion every year.

"[Trump's] vision creates far more free people than the one Biden has where you can't speak, you can't own a firearm, and you can't be energy independent. Oh, and we are going to burn you with inflation," Crowder said. "We are in the biggest wealth transfer in American history."
