Trump Issues Executive Order to Make Government Workers More Efficient
I don't need to tell you how our government is full to the gills with waste. Everyone has a story about inept government workers lazing the day away with no respect for the taxpayers who employ them. Well, the Donald has a plan to turn all that government slothery around.
He just signed an executive order making it easier to give bad employees the proverbial boot in the rear end:
President Donald Trump issued three executive orders Friday to prevent unions from protecting government employees who don’t perform in their jobs.
Translated for us laymen, if a government worker isn't pulling his weight, he'll be bouncing out the door on his lazy posterior. Faster than Michael Moore to Arby's on free roast beef day.
Critics say Trump is stripping unions of their power by changing how federal agencies approach collective bargaining agreements, but the administration says the goal is to protect taxpayers from overspending on labor.“By holding poor performers accountable, reforming the use of taxpayer-funded union time, and focusing negotiations on issues that matter, we are advancing our efforts to elevate the federal workforce,” Jeff T.H. Pon, Director of the Office of Personnel Management, said.
Now this is what we like to see.
Before now, unions and regulations were protecting government workers. Especially from working. Which gave them zero incentive to be productive. Now, with this new executive order, they'll actually have do their jobs. As opposed to spending their days toiling away on Farmville. Crafting artisanal paninis in the break room. Putting in a solid forty hours of revenge porn viewing each week. All on our dime, I might add.
Hopefully, policies like this will do a little liposuction on our deficit for a change. All those redundant, non-performing employees aren't doing the national debt any favors. Yet another praiseworthy move by the Trumpinator. Keep 'em coming.
