Trump Says “I'm supposed to be dead” While Addressing Assassination Attempt In Interview
Not many people go through a near-death experience, and if they do you would expect their fight or flight response to be a state of shock. But that’s not what we saw with President Donald Trump, as his innate reaction was to keep fighting.
How many people have been shot in the ear and taken that as a sign to double down? Not many, and although Trump is “supposed to be dead” he has since vowed to “unify the country.”
Trump discussed his “surreal experience” in an exclusive interview with the New York Post.

According to the outlet:
“The doctor at the hospital said he never saw anything like this, he called it a miracle,” said Trump, who was sporting a large, loose white bandage that covered his right ear. His staff insisted that no photos be taken.
“I’m not supposed to be here, I’m supposed to be dead,” Trump said. “I’m supposed to be dead.”
Trump got shot in the ear, lost his shoe, and still wanted to finish his speech. But he couldn't for obvious reasons.
Trump also addressed the incredible photo of him raising his fist and saying “Fight” three times as the agents tried to get him off stage and into an armored SUV.
“A lot of people say it’s the most iconic photo they’ve ever seen,” Trump said. “They’re right and I didn’t die. Usually you have to die to have an iconic picture.”
There’s no doubt that Trump is a fighter and that no matter what the left throws out at him, it only makes him double down.
“By luck or by God, many people are saying it’s by God I’m still here,” he said. How many people do you know have survived being shot by an AR-15?
Trump related that his brush with death had changed his mind about the speech he will give Thursday to accept his party’s nomination for the third consecutive time.
“I had all prepared an extremely tough speech, really good, all about the corrupt, horrible administration,” he said, then suddenly added: “But I threw it away.”
When Biden demands unification, while labeling anyone who dares vote against him as a literal nazi, Trump has promised to fight for all Americans, even the ones that hate him.
How many times has Biden declared MAGA Republicans pose a threat to democracy? Too many to count. Yet, Biden has the nerve to act like he's all in it for the betterment of the country. Get real.
He said a new speech was in the works because “I want to try to unite our country.” Folding his arms, he added, “But I don’t know if that’s possible. People are very divided.”
You can't claim Trump is "a threat to the character of our nation that gives our Constitution life" and then act shocked when something like this happened.
But none of that matters as no matter what the left throws at him, Trump's "fight" to "unify" has just begun.
