But today, the President signed an executive order getting it started...

As for the Executive Order itself, you can read the text here. There's a lot to digest, and that whole "make Mexico pay for it thing" needs to be explained. But one thing is certain: if Trump can walk his talk, the people who rallied behind him during the campaign and carried him into the White House will be quite pleased.

America isn't a country without borders. No country is a country without borders. So enforcing current immigration laws and putting sanctuary cities on notice are basic moves for a country's security. And President Trump's first responsibility is to the people of America. Not Mexico, Syria or Azerbyjanistan (I made that one up). Of course, there are plenty of people rejoicing this rhetoric and changes of policy. Among them are #AngelMoms and Dads, the parents of children killed by illegal immigrants. Remember San Francisco's Kate Steinle?

So let's keep Trump accountable. Let's make sure he follows through to build the wall.

For now, let's laugh at Mexico being upset they can't immigrate here illegally. How pissed? They want their own President to cancel an official visit in protest...

Mexicans across the political spectrum called for President Enrique Peña Nieto to cancel his visit to Washington next week after President Trump’s order on Wednesday to construct a border wall, as the country grapples with how to respond to what many view as the most unpredictable American leader in decades.

It mattered little that it was unclear what exactly the executive order would say, how much Mr. Trump could do without congressional approval, or how the wall would be paid for. The provocation was enough.

“In light of today’s ambush and ‘my way or the highway’ policies, Mexico would do well in carefully re-evaluating the president’s trip next week,” said Arturo Sarukhan, the former Mexican ambassador to the United States.
