Dollars to donuts, many of the people rioting right now (see Surprise! Half of Arrested Protesters in Portland? Didn't Even Vote...) are also Bernie Sanders supporters. Many of the people rioting right now probably think all Trump supporters are racist, sexist, homophobes who hate puppies. And much like with Jon Stewart (see 'Calling All Trump Supporters Racist is Hypocritical'... Says Jon Stewart?!), those rioting are going to be disappointed when they here Bernie say this...

There are people in America who are racists. Who are sexists, who are homophobes.

Including many registered Democrats. Ok, no more interrupting...

I believe that those people are a very small minority of the people who voted for Mr. Trump. I think a lot of people gave up on the Democratic Party in terms of standing up for working people, and they said, "OK, I’m going to go with this guy."

Hear that? Trump didn't win because his supporters are racist. Trump won, or one of the reasons why he won, is because Democrats sucked one time too many for a lot of people and they needed a change.

So Bernie joins a long line of Democrats trying to salvage their party in 2018 and 2020. Because the more blowhard twits who keep shouting "RACISM" and "SEXISM" at their opposition, the more Republicans will flip the figurative bird and pull the lever for the GOP.

Sanders is in damage control. For the past 8 or more years, leftists have been at war with anyone who disagrees with them. Not by engaging in dialogue, but branding with unfair labels. Donald Trump's election was a wake up call to some on the left. Including Sanders here.

Yet celebrities and politicians are still doubling down, falling into the same old pattern of maligning the opposition as racists, sexists, bigots and homophobes. Which is one reason they lost...
