Except It’s Just Like Obama’s…). And the President took to the road today to start promoting his plan. Or, since there isn't actual legislation right now, he's talking to the American people why we need to reform taxes. His economic model? The American Model.

We're here today to launch our plans to bring back Main Street by reducing the crumbling burden on our companies and on our workers. The foundation of our job creation agenda is to fundamentally reform our tax code for the first time in more than 30 years.

Lower taxes on American business means higher wages for American workers and it means more products made right here in the U.S.A..

My administration is embracing a new economic model. It’s called very simply the American model.

Everything sounds good, especially the pressuring Congress to act part. Also, the not ranting and raving like a crazy person part.

Here's my question though: where was this in the push to repeal ObamaCare? Giving speeches like this would have been more effective than angry tweets at Joe and Mika.

Americans get hosed in taxes. Which taxpaying Americans have known since FICA appeared on their paychecks. Taking all their money. Let's hope (and apply necessary pressure to Congress) tax reform happens. Now.
