People hoping Tucker Carlson would be Donald Trump's VEEP won't like his response: "Stay in your lane"
News had broken this week that Melania Trump was trying to talk the former president, if he were to win the GOP primary, to choose Tucker Carlson as his running mate. Carlson was asked about it during a speech in Virginia, and he was less than enthusiastic about it, if not outright dismissive.
Our story begins with an Axios article on who Donald Trump might choose for different positions if he were to win the nomination and then the White House. The big one is his running mate, with Kristi Noem, Nikki Haley, and Kari Lake all mentioned. I thought Haley because she rocked as Trump's UN Ambassador. But then she turned out to be anti-free speech, and, I think, surprised a lot of people just how much she was willing to sell out to establishment donors. Really, Nikki? Gender reassignment for 12-year-olds?
Melania, allegedly, has a different name in mind.
However, in an interesting twist, Trump's wife, Melania, has reportedly lobbied for one of the most well-known figures in conservative media: Tucker Carlson.
According to a report from Axios, Melania thinks Carlson "would make a powerful onstage extension of her husband."
Carlson addressed the rumor during a speech. And while it depends on how loud God was screaming at him...
“I have no interest in that,” Tucker Carlson says when a member of the audience presses again whether he’d be Trump’s VP. He gives one lecture to his employees, Tucker adds, “stay in your freaking lane.”
I'm not surprised. Outside of how many libs it would own, why would Tucker Carlson possibly want to be anyone's Vice President?
The man, for the first time in decades, is enjoying time with his family out in real America. He's popping Zyns, drinking with Alex Jones, and loving life. He also never wants to work for someone again AND is about to make a ludicrous amount of money launching his own network.
Carlson is not going to give that all up, return to a city he hates, around people he hates, to take the worst-known job in America. That's crazy talk.
