Tulsi Gabbard is a good person to use to illustrate the difference between conservatism and progressives. Conservatives recognize she has a voting record we disagree with, but she's someone you can have a rational conversation with like normies do. Progressives ignore that she votes with them on everything and hate her because she has a few opinions with which they disagree. Two Tulsi tweets this week aren't going to change that anytime soon.

Tulsi sides with Joe Rogan, someone whose podcast she has been on. She says the brouhaha is less about the 'rona and more about "zealots of wokeism" who try to censor voices who don't agree with theirs. Gabbard believes it's to mask the absurdity and weakness of their positions. No arguments here.

Then there's Tulsi's opinion on Joe Biden. The president recently announced for his Supreme Court pick he was going to discriminate against Latina, Asian, and Muslim women. Tulsi, a critic of Biden's race-baiting ways, points to the last time Joe Biden made a choice based on the color of someone's skin and not the content of their character. It's when he chose Kamala Harris. Kamala has been an unmitigated disaster.

Granted, there is no love lost between Tulsi and Kamala. Besides Harris being unlikable and unqualified, many observers point to Tulsi completely disemboweling Kamala on the 2020 Democratic primary stage as a key reason why Harris dropped out of the race. Then Biden came along. You can see how that worked out.

Tulsi joins a long line of mavericks not afraid to speak out against their own party. Not unlike Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, and the late John McCain. Those three got a lot more legacy media attention for some reason.
