Twitch Tries Pandering to Feminists Using 'Womxn,' Gets Forced to Apologize to LGBTQAI Community
I miss the days when words I wrote made sense to me. But it's also amusing when the left battles over who among them is the most marginalized. March is Women's History Month. Gaming platform Twitch celebrated with a tweet, calling it Womxn's History Month, celebrating womxn using the platform. You see, the wokest among us like to put x's where vowels should be in the name of inclusion. Think "Latinx" even though people of Latin descent think that's stupid. But hey, as long as white liberals feel good about the smell of their own flatulence. Amirite? Just one man's opinion, Facebook. I know many of you are those white liberals.
This is normally where I would share Twitch's tweet, but it has since been deleted. Replaced with
While we originally wanted to use a word that acknowledges the shortcoming of gender-binary language, after hearing directly from you, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community on Twitch, we will be using the spelling “women" moving forward.
— Twitch (@Twitch) March 2, 2021
Twitch went on to say that they were "still learning," they had good intentions, and are committed to grow, do better, be inclusive, educate themselves, and do a bunch of other things companies say when they feel they offended the wrong group.
"After hearing directly from you" is usually a nice way of saying people on Twitter were mad. As it turns out, spelling women "womxn" is transphobic and offensive to the transgender community. Or, at least a smattering of them offended enough to tweet about it.
Twitch, we won't forget that you used a harmful term created by transphobes in a tweet you made. Trans women are women, not womxn. pic.twitter.com/OTJE9kfiCR

This needs to be said:
"Womxn" is a term made by terfs. Trans women are women.
Folks is already gender neutral. Not everyone likes "folx". Respect peoples wishes.
Latine people have stated many times they don't like the term "Latinx".
Don't be performative. https://t.co/P5oWV2rdiV

For those of you who only speak English, a "TERF" is a "trans-exclusionary radical feminist." Think feminists who are also boomers. The J.K. Rowlings of the world. Or anyone who thinks it's unfair for biological males to compete against biological females in girls' sports. On the left's pound-for-pound most marginalized rankings, trans is ranked #1 and women keep slipping.
"Latine" is a new one. That sounds like another one white liberals have come up with on behalf of the Latinx community. Not understanding why the Latino community doesn't like "Latinx" either.
Also, maybe it's because I'm usually focused on anything else, but I've never heard "womxn" before. I've seen "womyn," but "womxn" looks like someone at Twitch was trying too hard to out pander his colleagues. Or her colleagues. Or, xis colleagues?
Whatever the case, be better, Twitch!
