Does it seem like Europe is an ultimate suckfest right now? They've been spiraling downward into the seventh layer of anti-freedom hell. Every day there's a new leftist "issue," with a new crappy leftist solution (see UK Police Now Deem Staring at a Woman's Breasts a 'Hate Crime.' Yes, Really...). Meanwhile, real issues? They go unsolved. Oops.

The latest in European political correctness takes us to the UK, where a dude was just thrown in prison... For "racist language."

John Hennigan, 50, was handed an 18 month prison sentence after he breached an ASBO by using racist language...

Hennigan was handed an ASBO in April 2005, prohibiting him from acting in an anti-social way or from using racist language. He pleaded guilty to... using racist language towards mother Tanisha Ford and her two children, as they shopped in Harlow.

Prosecutor Lynne Shirley told the court that Hennigan stopped Ms Ford and asked whether she needed directions. Ms Shirley said: 'It seemed a normal conversation and she walked off but as she did Hennigan said "I don't agree with inter-racial relationships. I like natural. I prefer white children". She said her children were natural and he said "I'm just saying". The incident made her feel very upset, hurt, out of place and distressed.'

Hennigan sounds like a mule's posterior, sure. The guy is undoubtedly a racist, yes. But that doesn't excuse the fact that he's been imprisoned for 18 months over "language." Not terrorism, not violence, not theft... But mean words. Let that sink in.

Officials claim the real crime is that his rudeness violated an ASBO. Before you ask about ASBO, hold on. His redness violated ASBO. Rudeness. RUDENESS. So what is ASBO? It's bollocks, to borrow an English phrase. It's also short for Anti-Social Behavior Order. Pretty self-explanatory. Apparently it means the court can mandate your level of social-ness... And the words you say. You know, otherwise you might commit the crime of causing someone to feel "very upset, hurt, out of place and distressed..."

Surprised? I assume not, if you know anything about Europe. We're talking about the United Kingdom after all, where freedom of speech isn't a thing (see LONDON: Report Shows Surge in Arrests... Over 'Offensive' Messages?!). Like strong ivory chompers. The worrisome part? These European countries are the nations our politicians put on a "tolerant" pedestal. They're erected as shining examples of how great leftism is. Except in reality, Europe is falling apart. See any recent news cycle.

The UK has rampant rape, an ever-growing threat of terrorism, rising crime... But actual issues? No matter. Their concern lies with arresting a fat man for rudeness.
