Now that the gay folks get more than special treatment and trannies have been successfully labeled the "new protected class," they need a new group to champion for. Aaand it's looking like that new group consists of pedophiles.

While social justice warriors busy themselves trying to garner sympathy for child molesters, pedophilia has been on the rise in places like the UK. So much in fact, the UK is running out of room for them in the clink.

The number of convicted paedophiles in UK prisons has soared in recent years... One of the most senior police officers [Gavin Thomas] in the UK has called for greater debate about treating paedophiles rather than sending them to prison, amid concerns there is not enough space in prison to jail them all.

Mr Thomas said: "One of the major concerns from our members is managing the [sex offenders'] register already, and it's growing." He added that there is not enough room in prisons to jail all child sex offenders... "Should we be going down the criminal justice route, or, based on proper assessment, should we be going down the health route? At the moment I am not seen an alternative thinking on how we deal with this issue as it grows and grows."

Let me get this straight: this policeman thinks the answer to cutting down on pedophilia is... to stop sending them to prison? Group therapy in lieu of punishment?

Sort of defeats the whole purpose of a justice system, doesn't it? May as well do away with the law entirely if you aren't going to enforce it. Then again, "law" has never been the UK's cuppa tea (see UK Man Arrest For Anti-Islam... 'Thoughts'?!).

Might I remind us all, we're talking about pedophilia here. As in grown adults who prey on innocent children. For sexual pleasure. Yes, the thought alone is gross and unforgivable. That's the point. Pedophiles? You get no sympathy. You don't get to hug it out.
