UN Official: Funding Cuts Means Six Million Might Die From AIDS In Africa
Since when has it been the United States' problem to solve the AIDS crisis in Africa?
According to the UN, potential funding cuts mean that six million people are now at risk of death. However, it’s unclear where the evidence is to suggest that funding these people did much of anything to solve the problem but that’s neither here nor there.

According to UN News:
The US pause in foreign assistance funding has created “confusion” in the vital work of community HIV prevention, despite a waiver issued for HIV/AIDS programmes, the UN agency to combat the still deadly disease said on Friday.
If PEPFAR is not re-authorized between 2025 and 2029 and other resources are not found for the HIV response, “there would be a 400 per cent increase in AIDS death”, UNAIDS said. “That’s 6.3 million people, 6.3 million AIDS related deaths that will occur in the future”, Ms. Stegling told journalists.
In other words, their lives are not at risk but these global, unelected bureaucrats would rather fearmonger the global masses to assist in their pan-handling efforts.
According to the UN, the United States “finances 70 percent of the overall AIDS response.” It’s unclear how close they are to preventing or curing the disease but it does not appear they have had much success.
Why does it seem as if the more money they spend on ending the AIDS crisis in Africa, the worse it gets? The fact that there are 25.6 million people in Africa living with HIV, making them over half the global AIDS population, proves that they are doing something wrong and it’s doubtful more US funding will do anything to solve that.
Why are we funding global treatments when the United States cannot solve its problem?
Unfortunately for them, this emotional blackmail won’t work while this country maintains an America-first model. And it’s unlikely her crocodile tears will do much of anything to solve the AIDS crises in Africa.
