Watch: Undecided voter spotlights Kamala Harris's biggest debate failure (and a shocking poll backs it up)

Donald Trump took on Kamala Harris, David Muir, and Linsey Davis in a 3-on-1 handicap match on Tuesday night. That is usually the case with presidential debates. There are a lot of questions that only matter to people in the media. Not as much that matters to normies outside of New York City, DC, or San Francisco. Americans aren't concerned about crowd sizes and 35-year-old trials. They are concerned about being able to keep food on the table, pay their bills, and support their families.
That's why this response from an undecided voter in Pennsylvania stood out to me. She echoes something the boss says, and it's the main thing the election SHOULD be about.
"My life was better when Trump was in office. The economy was better. Inflation was lower. Things were better overall. And now, with Kamala's administration, things haven't been so fantastic. She's saying she can fix the problems that her administration has caused, but I don't know if I can afford to take that risk."

Content and memes were created during the debate. But did Kamala Harris convince undecided voters they can afford to take the risk? CNN ran a snap poll that showed people thought Kamala won by a 2:1 margin. And before anyone says, "But Brodigan, CNN polls always...," even right-leaning polls are showing similar results.
However, in that same poll where voters thought Kamala won the debate on points, those same voters trusted her LESS and Trump MORE on the economy at the debate's conclusion.

This is what Trump needs to focus on between now and Election Day.
Unfortunately, last night wasn't a good night for us.
The one thing Donald Trump needed to do was not take the bait, and he did. Over and over again. Kamala started nervous and it looked like it would be a rerun of the Biden debate debacle. Then she saw how easily Trump got triggered by a jab at his crowd sizes, and the moderators joined in. He was off his game until the closing statement on how Kamala had three and a half years to do what she said she would do and hasn't, a point he should have been hammering home DURING the debate.

"They've had three and a half years to fix the border, three and a half years to create jobs, and all the things we talked about. Why hasn't she done it?" pic.twitter.com/tOiuJUYCsR

Yes, it's unfair that the moderators were highly biased and let Kamala get away with lying and not answering questions while "fact" "checking" Donald Trump on whether something was sarcasm or not. And? Did Trump's team not know this would be the case going into the debate? Why wasn't he prepared for it? EVERY Republican knows when they go into a debate, they have to debate their opponent AND the media.
Overall? The debate was a wash because Kamala did not have an impressive performance herself. She slightly exceeded expectations, which were low. And the Taylor Swift endorsement? Meh. Harris will get a slight polling bump. Then people will see her speak in public, and both the Left and the media (but I repeat myself) will go back to blaming betting markets and Nate Silver.
But it doesn't benefit us to claim it wasn't a disappointing night for Trump and that he has got to learn discipline over the next fiftyish days. The focus every day needs to be on the concerns of this undecided voter from Pennsylvania. She has the same concerns as undecided voters in Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. You have four years of living under Trump and four years of living under Kamala. Americans can't afford to risk another four years of Kamala.
When Trump focuses on the issues, we win. When he doesn't, we get excuses.
