Have we mentioned lately how much we hate California? Not for its perfect climate or sandy beaches, but for its garbage policies. Of which there are too many to count. Sort of like illegal immigrants. Speaking of which, California's crap policies and illegal immigrants go together like corn and chile ancho. Feel free to tack the University of California onto our long list of suckage examples.

UC has been shuffling money around in order to help out all their students who are in need. Except the American ones, because California.

Just this May, former Secretary of Homeland Security and current University of California president Janet Napolitano announced a three-year commitment to support illegal UC students university-wide.

The university reports it will earmark a staggering $8.4 million through the 2018-2019 academic year for undocumented student support across 10 campuses...

If students are here illegally, they can visit the UC's Undocumented Legal Services Center, which receives a whopping $900,000 per year to advise illegal students on how to become educated while breaking the law.

So let me get this straight, illegal criminals get cash and belly rubs if they show up to a school they can't afford. But Asian-Americans with perfect grades? DENIED. No entry for you, legal smarties (see Racists Tamper with College Admissions: Asian-Americans Hardest Hit). Not enough law breakage going on.

This is why universities can't have nice things. Like money. Remember when college admissions and scholarships were granted on merit, not feelings? Or a political agenda? Ah, right. That was back when the word "university" implied more than just a leftist feel-goodery machine (read College Professor: 'You Can't Have Peace If Whiteness Exists').

Not to say that there isn't anything good about college. But if you're not planning on being a doctor, consider this: not going. If you do decide to apply for college, might I suggest getting a tan and developing a thick accent. Seems like a solid way to secure a spot in the lecture hall. If you're triggered because you think that's racist, all me to count all the ways in which I don't care.

Look, we've been saying this since before Hillary Clinton told her first lie: leftism rewards life's losers. The left celebrates the least of these. Not in the same way Jesus did, mind you. Make sure you know the difference there. The left loves victims because the left benefits from people being victims. Because guess what? As soon as an immigrant (legal or illegal) asserts himself/herself as an independent member of society who doesn't need government handouts?

Love and benefits are gone. It's like that person never existed. The dream of the Democrat party is a constant streaming parade of victims, for whom they can lavish dependence-creating benefits. The more government is depended upon by victims, the more government is needed. It's a self-serving, rotating door. Make no mistake about it.
