University of Wisconsin Creates Absurd New List of 'Racist Microaggressions'
Just when you think college life and their fascination with "microaggressions" couldn't get any more embarrassing...well, here comes the University of Wisconsin. Yes, Wisconsin. Home to Scott Walker, the Green Bay Packers and chronic, cheese-induced constipation.
Hold up... Actually, is saying "Packers" a micro aggression now? I'll have my interns research and get back to me.
Here's an actual list of phrases and questions that, at the University of Wisconsin are now considered faux pas (that's French for "not allowed"):
“Where are you from?”
“Where were you born?”
“When I look at you, I don’t see color.”
“America is a melting pot.”
“There is only one race, the human race.”
“I believe the most qualified person should get the job.”
“Everyone can succeed in this society, if they work hard enough.”
Make sure you read the explanations as to WHY these are all micro aggressions. Then go sit in a corner and sob to yourself. Actually, that's probably a micro aggression too.
Also, you're not allowed to ask Asians for help with math anymore. That's right. They make math harder with common core, then limit who you can ask to help you.
Thank you University of Wisconsin!
