Watch: Driver Jumps Out Of Car SECONDS Before SUV Gets Hit By Train
A driver in Utah jumped out of her car only seconds before it was destroyed by a train, raising more questions than answers.
NEW: Utah driver jumps out of their car at the last moment before the vehicle is demolished by an oncoming train in Layton, Utah.
Hear me out... the individual could have just driven forward.

What in the Final Destination was that?
According to KSL News:
A newly released video captured the moment an SUV was hit by a UTA FrontRunner train in Layton on Feb. 4. Fortunately, the driver escaped before the impact.
"All things considered, everybody's quite fortunate to have escaped without any injuries," said Gavin Gustafson, spokesman for the Utah Transit Authority.
The white SUV on the track that day was first hit from behind as it slowed for the crossing, the impact sending it across a set of tracks and into the path of the oncoming train. A second security video from the crossing shows the driver put the vehicle into reverse and then back into the safety arm before coming to a stop.
I am pretty sure the driver could have driven through the safety arm, but that is neither here nor there. He could have done so much, but he literally chose to do nothing.
"In the heat of the moment, the panic of the moment, they jumped out of the car and, and then the train hit the car," Gustafson said.
You may also wonder why the driver did not drive forward or make a U-turn. The reason is still unclear, but authorities believe he was "likely in shock.”
"I'm certainly not going to second-guess them in the heat of the moment," he said. "And sometimes, the view might be blocked by something else; you don't want to pull forward if there is another train coming."
It’s not exactly clear if the driver who rear-ended the SUV will be held accountable to some extent. Authorities estimate the total cost of damage is around $100,000 but that is a relief when compared to the fact that no injuries were reported.
